A Review of Lush Products

This is a post that I have been anticipating for a while. As many of you know, Lush gained so much popularity, mainly for their bath bombs. However, they also specialize in skincare and beauty products. At first, I wanted to get the Lush bath bomb experience, then, I also became interested in exploring their other products. I visited their store a few times and was quite mesmerized with all the wide and colorful selection of items they offer. Without further a due, let me share with you my experience with some of the Lush products, including ratings and recommendations.

1- Tea Tree Water Toner Water- 10.95 USD

This is a tea tree oil based tonic water, which I like to use as toner, make-up setting spray, or as a refreshing mist throughout the day. I was drawn to this particular product because of its antibacterial properties, which help protect the skin against irritations, acne, and promotes healthy skin. Since I am always traveling, I like to use it to help protect my skin and add moisture to it. Plus, it has a very nice, sweet smell to it. The size of the bottle is also perfect if you’re on the go, as it allows you to reapply as many times as needed. The spraying method isn’t aggressive, but misty and hydrating. I highly recommend this multiple-use product and I give it 4 stars.

2- Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub- 22.95 USD

I am absolutely in love with this product. This is the second pot that I purchased, which I also featured in my “Empties” series. This sea salt scrub worked very nicely for me. A little bit goes a long way, and it leaves your skin feeling soft and exfoliated. The smell is very floral and relaxing. I loved adding this product to my routine for its luxurious and SPA-like quality. It is by far the best exfoliant I have tried. I give this product 4 stars.

3- Bubblegum Lip Scrub- 10.95 USD

This product is mostly made of sugar, oils, and bubblegum flavor. It is ideal for removing liquid lipsticks, which are extremely dehydrating and difficult to remove. The oils in it make it so easy to remove lipstick and do a great job nourishing the lips. I also like using it when my lips start becoming chapped, or when I need to improve circulation. My only issue with this product is that it tends to dry out pretty fast between uses, which causes product loss. That being said, this is such a natural product that it is even possible to make your own lip scrub. I give this product 3.5 stars.

4- Cup O’ Coffee Mask- 11.95 USD

This is by far one of the best products I’ve tried. It is a multi-purpose exfoliating mask. The consistency is very rich and thick, and contains coarse coffee grounds that gently exfoliate the skin. After leaving product for up to 15 minutes, you gently massage the skin to promote circulation and rub away dead skin. I was very impressed by this product, as it left my skin looking extremely clean, glowing, and healthy. My dry skin patches disappeared and I looked much more awake. I also felt like circulation was much better in my skin. My cheeks were naturally rosy and cheekbones naturally highlighted. I do not have to do much after, except for a serum or light moisturizer. I felt like the ingredients deeply nourished my skin, and I love that they are completely natural. Other scrubs that I have tried from different brands irritated my skin and did not do much to it. I am very happy I found this product, which is my favorite of all this bunch I tried. It definitely receives 5 stars.

5- Sea Vegetable Soap 7.95USD/ 3.5oz

I bought this product since I wanted to decrease the amount of liquids I take with me when I travel, and this seemed like the best option. This soap normally has a rough top layer made of sea salt that helps exfoliate the skin. As seen in the photo, the chunk I got did not contain much of it. I found this product to be very similar to the Rub Rub Rub scrub. They have the same refreshing smell and the color is also similar. Speaking of color, the amount of dye is overwhelming and causes showers and bathtubs to stain, which I did not enjoy at all. I would not mind if this product was dye-free, since I do not care much about the color. I give this product 3 stars.

I could not wrap up this post before mentioning the iconic Lush bath bombs. Sex Bomb is Lush’s bestselling bath bomb, which I have tried a couple of times and greatly enjoyed. It is perfect for a relaxing SPA day, as it helps you unwind and relax. I love how fizzy it is and the scents used in it as well.

If you’ve enjoyed this post, let me know which items you’ve tried from Lush, which ones you would recommend, and which I should try next.
