Welcome everyone to another round of new products. Although I am on a no-buy rule, I have to replenish skincare products when I run out of them. So, I wanted to do a quick review of some items I’ve repurchased and others I’ve tried for the first time.
I am still enjoying Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit face wash, which is why I repurchased another one. Since I enjoyed it so much, I thought I would try to cleaning wipes by the same brand. I was very disappointed that not only it did not do a good job at removing makeup, the wipes are drenched in alcohol. I had to avoid using it on my eyes or areas around them since they stung to have the product near them. I did not feel comfortable using this product, judging from the overwhelming amount of alcohol in it, which irritated my skin. Unfortunately, I stopped using this item to avoid damage to my skin.
I also replenished my Swisspers cotton pads, which have one a soft side and an exfoliating one. They’re great quality and I highly recommend them.
The next item is the night relaxing jelly eye sheet mask by Clean& Clear. I use these every once in a while, as they are extremely cooling and replenishing. They did not irritate my skin and the I feel the difference in my skin after using it.
The next two items are by Pixi. This is my first time using this brand, and I’ve especially heard great things about the Glow tonic. I was pretty excited to start using that product since the last one dehydrated my skin a lot. My first impressions of the Glow Tonic were that it was smooth and fresh, but found it a bit sticky. However, the more I used it the more I liked it.
The serum was not the best. I found the consistency very thin and a bit watery and it did not feel creamy or moisturizing. Applying concealer on top of this serum does not feel comfortable and the skin does not feel hydrated. This is definitely not a product I would repurchase again.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this product review. Let me know in the comments section below if you have any recommendations for toners or eye creams.
